Now that we've celebrated the Fourth of July with BBQs, bikinis (thank you, Mariah Carey) and beer, summer has officially kicked into high gear. And that makes country superstar Brad Paisley extra excited—he loves summer so much he named his latest single and current tour "Beat This Summer."

Taking some time out before his show in Tampa, Fla., the "Accidental Racist" singer dished exclusively to E! News about summer, touring and guitars.

So what is it about the summertime that makes Brad all nostaligic?

"By the time you're in school, and it continues all the way through college when you have the summers off, magic just happens. And then it continues the rest of your life in some way."

Part of that magic has something to do with the fleeting nature of the season.

"There's this hourglass and the sand is finite and it's almost out," he explains. "You get that sense toward the second half of the summer, you're always thinking, 'I got to maximize the rest of this.'"

And helping to maximize his fans' summers is all Brad can hope to do for his "Beat This Summer" audience.

"Who knows what they had to go through to get here and what they're going through in their life. You gotta give them some sort of once-in-a lifetime thing."
