Lindsay Lohan turns 27 today and the actress is spending the occasion at her rehab, Cliffside Malibu.

E! News has learned that she is not expected to receive outside visitors for her birthday, except perhaps lawyer Shawn Holley, but sources tell E! News she is using the occasion to turn her life around. (And her social media team is using the occasion to tweet up a storm!)

"She is focusing on getting healthy," one source tells E! News.

Due to the lockdown nature of her sentence, and the rehab facility's preferences, Lindsay won't be celebrating her special day with her friends on the outside, but she does seem to be doing well at the facility.

"She lives in a small room, has a chef that makes her sushi and a fresh garden is available," the source added. "She is also getting along great with the other residents."

This year's celebration is a far cry from how the Liz & Dick star rang in her 26th birthday last year.

Lohan was joined by a group of friends at West Hollywood nightclub Bootsy Bellows, where she danced late into the evening.

At around 2 a.m., the club brought out Sprinkles cupcakes and everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to the star.

Lohan was reportedly in "good spirits" and "dancing around with her friends," an eyewitness told E! News back then. "She seemed really happy."

But this year has been filled with major life changes for Lohan.

The star entered into a court-ordered 90-day rehab stint as part of the conditions of her plea deal surrounding misdemeanor charges related to a June 2012 car accident.

In early June, she changed facilities from Betty Ford to Cliffside Malibu, per her request.

Michael Lohan, tells E! News his daughter made the move because "she wasn't getting any individual therapy" and it was the "same old thing to her."

LiLo is expected to make her first post-rehab appearance at The Canyons premiere at the Venice Film Festival after she completes her sentence in August.

Here's wishing the star a happy birthday and a great new year.
