"O'er the land of the freeeeeeeeeeee" —Singer hits the high note, cue the crowd.

We've all gotten a bit nervous as that high note approaches, even if we're not the ones singing. It's just what happens with the iconic national anthem. But with these star singers, we won't have that problem. They're professionals.

The list of celebs who've sung "The Star-Spangled Banner" is quite a list. From Taylor Swift and Steven Tyler to Jennifer Hudson and Billy Ray Cyrus, artists from all music genres have taken the mic to honor our country.

Lots of stars have sung the national anthem, but there's some that have gone down in history.

Many of those moments took place on the field, a lot of the times at Super Bowl games. Guess there's just something about singing in the center of a giant football field surrounded by thousands and thousands of people that lead to killer performances...seems like a lot of pressure, but stars can handle it!

The late Whitney Houston's performance at the 1991 Super Bowl in Tampa was so popular that it went on to become the fastest-selling single in her record label's history, reaching No. 20 on the Billboard 100 and raising over $500,000 for the American Red Cross. Her rendition is one of the most well-known and viewed performances of all time—and we can see why!

Alicia Keys' soulful version earlier this year in New Orleans even set a record as the longest national anthem performance in Super Bowl history at 156.4 seconds.

Then there's the performances that happened at historical events off the field.

Beyoncé was chosen by President Barack Obama to give her version his 2013 inauguration. Although the Grammy Award winner opted to lip-sync due to weather conditions and lack of rehearsal time, she later killed a live performance to prove that she's still Queen B.

After the recent Supreme Court ruling of the federal Defense of Marriage Act as unconstitutional, Lady Gaga gave her rendition at the NYC Gay Pride rally.
