Rocky James Prinze got his parents' good looks!

Sarah Michelle Gellar stepped out with her and Freddie Prinze Jr.'s 9-month-old son Wednesday in L.A, giving photographers a first look at Rocky's adorable face.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum looked every bit the doting mother, carrying her son and simultaneously holding hands with 3-year-old daughter Charlotte.

Sarah Michelle, 36, and Freddie, 37, welcomed Rocky in November 2012, but he's remained outside of the public spotlight up until recently. SMG clearly values her kids' privacy, but she can't help but gush a little about how great it is to be a mom.

"Becoming a parent is the most selfless act, and you need to be at a point in your life where you can give up anything and everything for a child," the actress told People in 2009, shortly after the birth of her daughter Charlotte.  "I don't know if you know how to do that when you're in your 20s."

Sarah Michelle and Freddie dated for two years before getting married and then waited another seven to have a child. "I always say, the minute you start dating someone, people ask, 'When are you getting engaged?' And the minute you get engaged, they ask, 'When are you getting married?'" she recounted. "And then the minute you get married, they ask, 'When are you having a baby?'"

Freddie was also glad the couple didn't rush into having kids. "I'm so happy we didn't have kids in our 20s—I just didn't know a thing," he said. "You have so much more patience in your 30s, and I feel like I appreciate this so much more."

As for what's next for the Prinzes? Well, time will tell if Charlotte and Rocky will get another sibling. For now, though, mom's struck a good balance when it comes to being a working parent—and it doesn't hurt that she loves her new costar.

SMG will return to primetime this fall opposite Robin Williams in The Crazy Ones, in which the duo play daughter and father. "He is a legend, Think about it: Greatest stand-up comic of all time, Academy Award winner and nicest man on the planet," Sarah Michelle gushed to E! News about her TV dad.

And Charlotte got some perks from mom's new job, too! It just so happens that the little girl is a big fan of Robin's voice-over work in Aladdin. "I'm a hero because my daughter got to meet the Genie and Kelly Clarkson [pilot guest star]," she said. "So I am mother of the year!"
