Hollywood is speaking out about the recent Paula Deen scandal that's rocked the nation.

At the red carpet premiere of Let Me Explain in Los Angeles, the film's star Kevin Hart opened about his thoughts on the controversial matter.

"I think it's a little harsh," Hart said regarding the fallout that the celebrity chef has received. "I think she did make a crucial mistake and there should be consequences," he further explained.

It appears that Hart believes the punishment didn't fit the crime, or so it seems.

"They're taking everything from her…they took her sponsors, you gotta leave her with something," he added. "She's got to survive."

The comedian offered one final thought on Deen's now-dropped sponsors, saying, "At some point you gotta say let's ease up."

And it looks like he wasn't the only celebrity at the flick's premiere who seemed to defend the 66-year-old chef.

Rapper T-Pain offered his two cents on the whole debacle. "She was treated very unfairly," he said.

But he appeared hopeful for Deen's future and her career on the small screen.

"I think she's got three months and she'll be back cooking on TV," he added.

Unlike the vocal Hart and Pain, Holly Robinson Peete chose to remain neutral when asked about her thoughts in the wake of the scandal.

"It's such a hard topic," she said. "I'm not going to jump in on it."

Peete did have a positive outlook on the entire situation, however, saying, "I wish her luck, it's hard no matter how you look at it."

Things have seemed to take a turn for the worse today, following the news that Sears (one of Deen's biggest backers) has decided to stop selling the chef's wares in their stores.

"After careful consideration of all available information, we have made the decision to phase out all products tied to the brand," a company spokesperson told E! News. "We will continue to evaluate the situation. Our members' needs will be given first priority as we work to continue to provide quality cookware in our stores and online."

This is just the latest drop for Deen. Earlier QVC, Target, Smithfeld, Walmart and the Food Network all opted to cut their ties with the former TV star (some permanently, even).
