For those of you waiting for the finale of her MTV special, we have a spoiler: Brandy has delivered a baby girl.

The all-grown-up former Moesha has given birth in Los Angeles to a girl named Sy'rai, according to her label, Atlantic Records. It's the first for the 23-year-old singer and her husband, record producer Robert Smith, 22.

Appropriately enough, Sy'rai was born on Sunday, aka Father's Day.

"All three are extremely happy at home and are doing very well," reads a statement from Atlantic.

No other details were immediately disclosed, but, in an email to radio stations, Atlantic's Lou Rizzo said updates would be posted on Brandy's official Website, www.foreverbrandy.com.

Of course, fans will also be tuning into MTV's Diary Presents: Brandy--Special Delivery for the full Brandy baby scoop. The show chronicles the popster's pregnancy over the course of four to five episodes and will culminate in the birth. (The cable net has yet to decide on the exact number of shows it will air; it had been waiting for Brandy to give birth before committing.)

About 2 million viewers watched Tuesday's premiere episode.

After keeping a low profile for the better part of year following UPN's cancellation of Moesha in 2001, Brandy has been getting plenty of pub in recent months.

In February, about the same time she dropped her new single, "What About Us?", she announced she had gotten married to Smith in secret ceremony last summer. Two weeks later, she announced she was pregnant. Then came the promo blitz for her new album, Full Moon, which entered the charts at number one in March. Then the MTV announcement. Then the baby.

Now, it looks like she'll finally be taking a little time off to change some diapers.
