Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow clearly wasn't named the world's most beautiful woman for nothing.

In the new trailer for the upcoming movie Thanks for Sharing, the 40-year-old actress shows off her fabulous figure. In skimpy black lingerie, no less!

Yep. The Oscar winner proves that her devotion to exercise has clearly paid off.

"It makes me look younger and feel strong," Paltrow told People of her workout routine. "When I first started, I thought, 'I'll never be good at this. This is a nightmare!' But now it's like brushing my teeth, I just do it."

Mind you, this isn't the first time we've seen the gal wearing next to nothing.

Paltrow once showed quite a bit of skin in Vanity Fair. Not that we're complaining.

In Thanks for Sharing, written and directed by The Kids Are All Right scribe Stuart Blumberg, Mark Ruffalo plays a recovering sex addict named Adam who meets and falls for Phoebe (Paltrow), who thinks sex addiction is "something guys say when they get caught cheating."

All the while Adam attends a sex addiction treatment program, where he meets several colorful characters including quick-witted Dede, portrayed by Pink. When she's not uttering funny quips about their circumstances ("My other program isn't such a sausagefest," she says), Dede's hooking up with a young resident named Mike, aka Josh Gad, star of Broadway's Book of Mormons and TV's 1600 Penn.

It is "a real pathology," USA Today quotes Paltrow as saying about sex addiction. "It was interesting to learn about it, see what the behavior is and what causes it, and how people are sober. It was very interesting. I learned a lot."

Thanks for Sharing, which also stars Tim Robbins, Joely Richardson, Carol Kane and Patrick Fugit, hits theaters on Sept. 20.

Of course, Paltrow isn't the only A-lister shedding a few layers of clothing for art's sake.

In the upcoming We're the Millers, Jennifer Aniston plays a stripper complete with a platinum wig. That film, costarring Jason Sudeikis, Ed Helms, Emma Roberts, Will Poulter, Nick Offerman and Kathryn Hahn, is due out August 9.

Yep. It's certainly a good time to be a movie fan.
