Anthony Kiedis had quite the interesting day in Philly.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman got into a tussle with a security guard Friday after Kiedis tried to walk into a Four Seasons Hotel with a female companion and was apparently blocked from going in.

"They thought he was a fan trying to get in the hotel as the Rolling Stones were expected," an onlooker told E! News. "Security wrestled him down."

A rep for the Rolling Stones told E! News that it was not the band's security team that encountered Kiedis.

With the Rolling Stones expected the hotel at the same time Kiedis was approaching, the security guard apparently mistook Kiedis for one of their fans.

Kiedis tried walking into the hotel after security tries to block him, and a security guard lunged at him as onlookers called out that he was the Chili Peppers frontman.

After police arrived to break up the scuffle, Kiedis was allowed to go inside the hotel.

As well, it looked like both the singer and the bodyguard made amends, shaking hands. "Apologies were made after the incident," said the onlooker.

And Kiedis? The singer told E! News in a statement, "I love the Rolling Stones."

Classic.
