On Tuesday, the pop princess tweeted a link to Miley's new vid, writing, "Loving your new video for #WeCantStop @MileyCyrus! Maybe you can teach me how to twerk sometime LOL ;) xo"
But Brit's fandom for Miley isn't one-sided. The Hannah Montana alum retweeted her fellow Disney alum and offered, "we could twerk it out in exchange for u teaching me da moves 2 "slave for you" (I've been practicing for the past 10 years)"
Y'all, that seems like a pretty fair trade! "I'm a Slave 4 U" was a huge hit for Brit back in 2001 (aka when Miley girl was around 8 years old), but those moves are timeless. Miley also referenced Britney in her 2009 hit "Party in the USA." (You remember, she loses all her inhibitions when "the Britney song was on.")
And Britney's been obsessed with Miley's track even before she knew there would be twerking involved. Earlier this month, she tweeted out her love for "We Can't Stop," calling it "so hot!"
OK, ladies, let's get the ball rolling: What's it going to take for these Southern superstars to team up and make some music?!
