Justin Bieber needn't worry: Selena Gomez isn't dating Ed Sheeran.
Despite Us Weekly's claim that the "Come & Get It" singer and the redheaded Brit were "hooking up," a source tells E! News the duo are "just friends." The twosome became pals through Taylor Swift, who is Ed's tourmate and Selena's BFF. (Selena's rep had no comment, and Ed's rep did not immediately respond to E! News' request for comment.)
We know Ed isn't dating Selena, but we don't know too, too much about his romantic life other than what he reveals through song. Earlier this year, Fresh 102.7 asked if Ed had a girlfriend. His reply? "Even if I did have one, I wouldn't say anything anyway!"
"Everyone knows almost everything about me. I make it very clear that I'm cool with people knowing all my personal life through my songs," he said. "There's stuff that you want to go home to and have a little bit of an escape, and I think if I was to ever have one I wouldn't be mentioning her every five minutes in an interview."
And while his musical contemporaries' personal lives make headlines on a daily basis, Ed doesn't think this has to be the case. "You can keep it out if you want to keep it out," he said. "My choice would be to keep it out."
