After saying he was "humiliated" by Taylor Swift's song "Dear John," John Mayer has seemingly responded with a tune of his own directed at the country crooner.

"Paper Doll" is the first single released by Mayer for his upcoming album Paradise Valley and the lyrics seem to indicate he's got something to say about the matter.

Mayer's song includes the lyric, "Someone's gonna paint you another sky," which appears to be a reference to Swift's original song.

In it, she said, "You paint me a blue sky and go back and turn it to rain."

The song's chorus doesn't seem to dispel any doubts about whom he's singing about either.

"You're like 22 girls in one/and none of them know what they're running from," he sings. Swift, who released the song "22" earlier this year, sang in "Dear John," "regret how I ignored when they said 'Run as fast as you can.'"

Lest this all seem too serious, Mayer's seems to have a sense of humor about the—his lyrics video features fitness guru Joanna Rohrback of the famous Prancercize workout!
