To say Ross Mathews is a fan of Mark-Paul Gosselaar is definitely an understatement.

Case in point?

Well, when the Franklin & Bash actor stopped by Wednesday's Chelsea Lately with costar Breckin Meyer, the guy simply couldn't contain his excitement.

"I will say I've interviewed a ton of people, but this is a crazy moment for me to meet you," Mathews gushed. "I write about Saved by the Bell in my book. I feel like I'm dreaming and I'm going to wake up and be 14 years old and be like, 'Oh my God, guess what I just dreamt about?'"

With that, Gosselaar proceeds to recall hearing Mathews telling shock jock Howard Stern that the two people who influenced his childhood were him and Justin Timberlake.

As for what he meant exactly by "influenced," well, you'll just have to watch the clip above!

Tune in to Chelsea Lately, weeknights at 11 p.m. on E!
