An attorney for the Penn State fullback released a statement regarding his split from nightclub manager (and famous former mistress) Rachel Uchitel, saying, "Matt Hahn has filed for divorce from Rachel Uchitel in the State of New York. A divorce, for anyone, is a highly emotional pursuit and requires considered judgment."
The release continues to state, "All attorneys involved are dedicated to bringing this matter to a fair and equitable resolution. Mr. Hahn loves his daughter Wyatt and only wishes the best for her. Every effort will be made to achieve those goals without protracted litigation. I ask that the media respect Mr. Hahn's privacy in this matter and direct any inquiries to The Kepanis Law Firm, P.C., rather than pursuing Mr. Hahn directly. Thank you."
Uchitel's rep also released a statement on behalf of her client early this morning, saying, "Rachel Uchitel is ending her marriage of less than two years to insurance executive and former Penn State fullback Matt Hahn. It is Ms. Uchitel's goal to resolve this action amicably, quickly and quietly and not in the media. No further details of the action are being released at this time by Ms. Uchitel."
The duo secretly married in a quiet Las Vegas ceremony in October 2011, and welcomed their first child together in May 2012.
Uchitel has not made any mention to the divorce news on her Twitter since the report went public, and instead posted an adorable photo of her baby girl with the caption, "Baby on the hippo in Central Park. Beautiful day today."
