It was a cruel end to the weekend for 2 Chainz.

The "No Lie" rapper and six members of his entourage were walking around downtown San Francisco on Sunday afternoon at about 4:30 p.m. when they were accosted by two men, one of whom fired a gun in the air before robbing him.

Thankfully, the bullet didn't strike anyone.

But San Francisco PD confirms to E! News that the two marauders got away with 2 Chainz's wallet, money, cell phone and credit cards.

The suspects were described as two Hispanic males, one of whom is between the ages of 20 and 30 and wore a dark sweatshirt and blue jeans.

No arrests have been made in the case. According to TMZ, the MC, real name Tauheed Epps, wasn't very cooperative to the cops who arrived on scene, telling them he "wanted to handle it himself."

2 Chainz's camp has so far remained mum on the holdup, but the hip-hopster did retweet a fan who referenced it in regard to 2 Chainz's Summer Jam gig that night.

"RT @Supa_Fresh_Sikh: N--ga didn't you just get shot? RT @@chainz Bay Area,, summer jam too TurntUP," he posted.

Back in February, 2 Chainz found himself on the wrong side of the law, albeit briefly, when he was busted for marijuana possession in Maryland after being pulled over for speeding; the rapper was subsequently found not guilty
