Justin Bieber Reaches 40 Million Followers on Twitter, Thanks Loyal Beliebers

Justin Bieber is officially 40 million strong.

Twitter followers, that is.

The Biebs took to the Twitter today to thank his loyal Beliebers after having reached the 40 million followers mark on the social media site.

"#40MillionBeliebers - thank u. i love u. #grateful," the pop star posted Tuesday. "#40Millionstrong," he added moments later.

Back in January, the "Beauty and a Beat" singer surpassed Lady Gaga to become the most followed person on Twitter, a title which the singer seems to have no trouble keeping.

The "Boyfriend" crooner recently returned to the social media site after a very short hiatus tweeting, "U guys miss me on here. Just needed to take some time to myself."

Oh, how absence makes the heart grow fonder.
