With LeAnn Rimes embroiled in a nasty court fight with her father, the question remains: Who'll be giving her away now that she's getting married?

The 19-year-old Grammy-winning country songbird has announced she is engaged to dancer Dean Sheremet.

Rimes, who was sporting a huge diamond ring during her appearance in Los Angeles Friday as part of Elton John's AIDS benefit concert, broke the news on her official Website, www.rimestimes.com.

"Yes, I'm engaged," the "Blue" singer says in an audio clip. "What a wonderful, wonderful man. I'm very, very happy."

Although she says they haven't set the date, the New York Daily News reports the couple are planning to tie the knot early next year. Sheremet apparently popped the question last week.

According to the Daily News, the pair were originally planning to exchange vows in Santa Barbara in April or May, but Rimes decided to move the wedding to Dallas and push up the date to February 23 so her ailing grandfather could walk her down the aisle.

No word on whether Rimes' father, Wilbur, will attend the nuptials, but given the current animosity between the two, it's doubtful.

The Star Search alum reportedly cut all ties to daddy dearest after they filed dueling multimillion-dollar lawsuits last year. LeAnn says her father and his business partner cheated her out of more than $7 million in earnings.

The elder Rimes, who helped launch his daughter's career, countersued, alleging Rimes was a "spoiled brat" whose excesses were ruining the family business. Following a March court appearance, LeAnn told her father, "I hate you."

One of the key figures in Wilbur Rimes' suit was LeAnn's ex, actor Andrew Keegan. Her father alleged Keegan was more interested in LeAnn's money than her love and was using her wealth and fame to further his own career.

But Keegan, whom LeAnn had been dating since she was 15, is no longer in the picture. She broke up with him in the spring, after he began cozying up to actress Piper Perabo, the Daily News reports.

It didn't take long for the rebounding Rimes to hook up with her new beau. She met Sheremet in May at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Nashville and they have been inseparable ever since.

With a voice eerily similar to Patsy Cline, Rimes first hit the Nashville scene at the age of 11. Two years later, she became a bona fide star with the release of her signature hit "Blue." Her debut album, also titled Blue, earned her a trophy case full of awards, including a pair of Grammys in 1997. Her other hits include "Commitment," "How Do I Live," "I Need You" and "Big Deal."

She's recently been making more headlines over her legal troubles than her music. In addition to her pending litigation with her father, she recently settled a lawsuit with her label, Curb Records, that led to her reupping her contract. And last month, her ex-bodyguard and personal trainer was ordered into a diversion program after he allegedly tried to extort $2 million from her by threatening to sell personal information and pictures of Rimes to the tabloids.
