SonyEvery Wheel of Fortune contestant dreams of winning big money on the classic game show. But for one fortunate player Thursday night, her prize became bigger than she could ever imagine.
Autumn Erhard, an animal pharmaceuticals sales rep from Orange County, Calif., had already won $30,000 in cash, trips and prizes before she made it to the bonus round.
When the final puzzle came up, host Pat Sajak worried that having four of the 12 letters would make it almost impossible to solve the phrase in time.
With the combination of good luck and quick skills, Erhard still managed to guess correctly and instantly won $1 million!
Joined by her mom, dad and fiancé, the 30-year-old contestant understandably couldn't contain her excitement as she jumped up and down onstage with glee.
Erhard is the second contestant ever to win the million-dollar prize on Wheel of Fortune. She plans to use some of the money to help pay for her wedding. Congratulations are certainly in order!
