Salma Hayek's Little Black Space Suit: Gotta Have It or Make It Stop?

Does the actress look like an astronaut in this pleather look? Or is it just us?

Why do we feel like Salma Hayek should be wearing this Bottega Veneta LBD as captain of a spaceship in some sci-fi flick?

It probably has something to do with that shiny pleather of the top of this all black ensemble. We get the idea of dueling materials, but fake leather and real leather isn't exactly mix and match.

We'll give the Grown Ups 2 star points for keeping the look classy with simple accessories. Anything metallic on top of this style would make her look even more like the sexy villain in a Star Trek movie.

Unless that's exactly her intention—have they started casting the Star Trek Into Darkness sequel?—we're going to have to say "make it stop" to this style. What's your take?
