Jenna Jameson is giving Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James a run for her money.

The 39-year-old adult actress is taking a stab at the erotica section as she's penned her first fiction novel.

Jameson's debut, Sugar, is due to arrive on store shelves in October and was cowritten with romance novelist Hope Tarr.

The tome chronicles an ex-porn star who flees Los Angeles and returns to her roots in New York City roots to start a new life only to have a fateful encounter with a handsome war hero-turned-investment CEO who, natch, has a few kinks he'd like to work out with her.

Not only does our porn protagonist find herself "in the middle of a sexual awakening," as the book's Amazon description notes, but she also discovers "a true romance and a happily ever after."

Call it Fifty Shades of Jenna?

Jameson is already a New York Times bestselling author thanks to the success she had with her 2004 memoir, How to Make Love Live a Porn Star, which sold over a quarter of a million copies.

But if you ask Jameson, the erotica genre was too irresistible to pass up.

"Sugar is something new and exciting for me. I've never written anything like this before and it was a wild ride," the adult film legend and mother of two told Radar.

She added: "I've always been romantic and probably a little kinky. The time was right for me to express myself in Sugar. I think it's the hottest thing you'll ever read."

And when Hollywood comes knockin', we look forward to the movie version too.
