But that's what he was doing last night when he stopped by sbe's Hyde Lounge in West Hollywood where his son Connor, 18, was deejaying the @XIVSMR_Sessions After Party.
The Oblivion star popped in at about midnight with his friend, Glee and Rock of Ages music producer, Adam Anders.
Dressed in jeans, a blue sweater and jacket and black shoes, Cruise entered through the back entrance. He took a seat near the DJ booth.
But before you think Tom was making a crazy night out of it, you should know that he simply sat back and enjoyed his son's gig while sipping on a bottle of sparkling water.
