While few of us can plan for a summer getaway in Gucci, that doesn't mean we can't fawn over the brand's gorgeous resort 2013 collection.

And there's plenty of drool-worthy looks in the latest collection, which creative director Frida Giannini unveiled during private appointments earlier this month.

As is the case with many resort collections, the Italian label delivered punchy pops of color, but we loved the fact that Giannini nevertheless managed to spice things up by including a material usually reserved for cold weather months: metallics.

A gorgeous gold wrap dress received a seasonally appropriate update thanks to its breezy shape, while a glittering mini-dress in a blue as bright as the Adriatic, would work perfectly when worn along the sea's shores.

And we love the fact that the collection includes oh-so-hot jumpsuits, like a playful patterned halter style onesie with modern sheer pant legs, as well as other '70s chic silhouettes, including a figure flattering maxi dress with an adorable heart print pattern and hot high-waisted pants.

We know we'd take the stylish designer duds—with or without an exotic trip in the works!

What do you think of Gucci's resort 2014 collection?
