Tyrese Gibson can be serious (and he just is sexy), but he can also make you laugh.

The actor and singer stopped by E! News today to talk to Terrence Jenkins about his upcoming film Fast & Furious 6, which, as Terrence noted, has more of a comedic presence from the star.

"Anybody who really knows me knows that all I do is crack jokes," Tyrese said, revealing that he was voted Class Clown in high school.

"When its time to get intense, I get intense, that's my world, but I know how to create a little balance and have my fun at the same time. I think all the funny stuff that's in the movie also contributes to the balance."

The Fast & Furious franchise also contributed greatly to Gibson's acting career, giving him a role to play for a decade (though he obviously didn't know that when he signed up for 2 Fast 2 Furious in 2003).

"I'm [gonna] be honest with you, man," he told Terrence. "My first film was Baby Boy and my second movie was 2 Fast, so for me to go from an urban movie that had a lot of buzz and did well at the time that it came out, to now something that is doing crazy box office numbers domestically and internationally—it was like a night-and-day, literally, change in my career."
