"There could be, but I won't go."

One thing we can be certain of when it comes to Bates Motel? Norman (Freddie Highmore) isn't going anywhere! At least, that's what the star of the A&E breakout hit told us when we chatted with him about tonight's "shocking" finale, which "could" feature a death, Highmore teases.

So what can fans expect from the finale? And will the season one mystery be resolved by the episode's end?

"Jake Abernathy (Jere Burns) and that mystery is perhaps solved," Highmore previews. "I think it's a nice conclusive ending. I think people will be satisfied with it; it does tie up things." But Highmore adds, "I think the ending is shocking and sets it up for more to come. In that way, the big shock isn't completely resolved yet." Dun-dun-dun!

And while fans have seen some flashbacks that have shed a light on Norman's past and his troubling condition, they'll get to see more of another character's backstory: "We found out more about Norma (Vera Farmiga) and where she's come from as we have previously with Norman," Highmore teases.

As for Norman's storyline in the finale, Highmore coyly cays we'll see more of the "developing of this relationship with someone." Hmmm...could it be his teacher Miss Watson (Keegan Connor Tracy)?

Bates Motel's finale airs tonight at 10 p.m. on A&E.
