How did Daniel Radcliffe handle filming steamy man-on-man love scenes for his new indie flick Kill Your Darlings?

"I was doing a gay sex scene and the director [John Krokidas] was giving step-by-step instructions," the 23-year-old actor revealed during a recent taping of The Graham Norton Show.

Radcliffe joked, "And the favorite note I have ever had was when we were kissing and the director shouted, ‘Not like that. Crazy sex kissing!'"

In the flick, Radcliffe plays the late gay Beat poet Allen Ginsberg in 1944, when a murder brings him together with fellow writers and college classmates. The Harry Potter actor added of the flick's racy sex scenes, "I spent 10 years in a kids' franchise and that was definitely a moment of, ‘Yes, I think I'm moving on.'"

We first chatted with Radcliffe about the film when he was promoting it at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. "John was very helpful in furnishing me with a lot of graphic detail of what I would be experiencing at the various stages," he dished to us.

"It was something new," he laughed. "But you know what, we shot that whole scene in maybe an hour and a half so it was incredibly fast-paced. I didn't really have time to stop to think and worry about it."
