The NFL star revealed to E! News today that he and fiancée Lilit Avagyan named their little bundle of joy Briseis.
"This is a new experience for me, you know. Getting the chance to be a father and bring a little one into this world, it's a blessing, but at the same time, I'm excited, I'm a little nervous…all the different feelings that go into being a first-time father," the Detroit Lions running back told us at an event for Mission Enduracool's Instant Cooling Collection.
"At the end of the day, she's a blessing and I'm excited at the opportunity to be a father.
The couple welcomed little Briseis just 10 days ago. The little one weighed in at 8 pounds and 9 ounces.
"It's tough leaving [to go to training camp, especially whe she's so young, this early stage," Bush said, "when you want to be there every step of the way and having to go."
"Stupid football gets in the way," he joked.
The 28-year-old footballer, who previously dated Kim Kardashian, also explained his baby's name to Life & Style: "It's Greek. We were watching the movie Troy and my fiancée, who was my girlfriend at the time, said, 'If we ever have a daughter, can we name her that?' And a couple of months later, wouldn't you know! The name was picked out months before she was even thought about. It's crazy."
