Two major chapters are closing in Ed Helms' career: The Hangover trilogy and the hit NBC series, The Office.

Helms admitted to Matt Lauer on Today that he had "mixed feelings" about filming the last installment of the successful film series, The Hangover 3.

"I'm very sad because these movies gave us such a great opportunity to hang out and work together," he explained. "I love these guys and it's just sad to know it's over."

But clearly it wasn't all bad for the comic actor.

"Also, I feel like it's a good time to wrap things up. I have tremendous gratitude for the whole ride."

Helms also revealed that he's "really, really sad" about The Office's final episode airing this week but that the timing made sense.
