As the new face of Absolut Elyx Vodka as well as a renowned actress, former model and style icon in her own right, Chloë Sevigny is no stranger to the spotlight.

In fact, the trendsetter is also a pro at fielding press interviews, so much so that she recently went on the record last night with New York mag to discuss Gwyneth Paltrow's recent complaints about last week's Met Gala.

"Maybe her sleeves were too tight. If you're in a dress where you can't breathe, then you're not comfortable," she said, explaining that her own Proenza Schouler design was specifically made so she could move with ease at the fashion affair. "You have to wear comfortable shoes and an outfit you can be okay in."

Makes sense.

And while Gwyneth made it pretty clear to USA Today that she's never going to the Met Gala again, Sevigny offered some supportive insight as to why the grand gala might not be well-received for all attendees.

"I think it depends on what table you're at, and who you're with, and obviously your attitude. But it's a lot of hoopla over not a lot. Everybody thinks it's so much pressure, and you do the carpet and it's such a big deal, and it's just a museum fund-raiser, you know?"

So true. Way to weigh in with a refreshing dose of down-to-earth sensibility, Chloë!

What do you think of Chloë's point of view on the Met Gala?
