Keith Urban has a big American Idol announcement!
OK, not really.
But the 45-year-old country crooner did poke fun at the drama surrounding the show's judging panel when he stopped by Ellen DeGeneres' talk show this week.
"The judges' panel is thinning out, isn't it?" DeGeneres asked, adding, "A lot going on over there. Do you have any announcements for us?"
"Well, of course Randy [Jackson] is leaving as he said and I'm here to announce today that I'm going to be replacing Randy, which is fantastic," Urban joked. "It's bittersweet really."
"I'm going to miss Randy, I got to say," he added. "He's a beautiful part of that whole institution."
