Contrary to what you might have read in the tabloids, Jaden Smith is still chillin' out, maxin' and relaxin' all cool with his parents.

The Sun claimed that Jaden wanted to be emancipated from Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith for his 15th birthday (July 8)  so he could "have his own place." Fortunately, this is 100 percent false; in other words, Jaden is still a minor under mom and dad's guardianship.

But, to be fair, Will and Jada are pretty cool parents. The Men In Black 3 star told Metro last month he and Jada "don't do punishment." Instead, the A-list couple strives to "give them as much control over their lives as possible."

Jada also touched on this concept last year when Willow's different haircuts and colors came under fire. She explained in a Facebook post that "even little girls have the RIGHT to own themselves," adding that she "made a promise to endow my little girl with the power to always know that her body, spirit and her mind are HER domain."

Clearly, Mr. and Mrs. Smith have the kids' best interests at heart! And why would anyone want to move out from under the Fresh Prince's roof, like, ever?
