Robert Pattinson Not Going to Cannes

Big-screen heartthrob won't be walking the red carpet at the festival, according to his camp

Contrary to rumors, Robert Pattinson isn't going to be at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

A source confirms this info to E! News, knocking down reports that he and girlfriend Kristen Stewart plan to jet off to the French Riviera so he can make the promotional rounds.

According to U.K.'s The Sun, it was also reported they plan to hole up for a few days in a $7,500-a-night suite at the famed Hotel Du Cap in the neighboring town of Antibes and take in some of the local sites before heading out for a romantic getaway.

Pattinson just turned 27th birthday (Happy Birthday, Rob!) and he's believed to be in L.A.—this after the erstwhile Twilight costars were spotted at New York's JFK airport a few days ago following Stewart's appearance at the Met Gala.

One thing we know for sure: Any vacation plans Pattinson might have remain a mystery for now.
