Mark Ruffalo has let the Hulk cat out of the bag when it comes to one of Iron Man 3's most highly anticipated scenes—the traditional Easter egg that follows the end credits and teases fanboys with possible hints of a future superhero adventure.

(SPOILER ALERT: You may want to stop reading right now if you haven't seen the movie yet.)

As Dr. Bruce Banner/The Hulk in last summer's The Avengers, the 45-year-old thespian's hilarious banter with Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man was one of the more enjoyable aspects of that megahit.

And as he disclosed on Twitter Friday, on the day Iron Man 3 opened and perhaps a little too hastily for all but the most diehard of fans, Ruffalo and RDJ apparently reprise the bromance in a cameo in the film's post-credits sequence.

"Thank you all for the kind words about IM3. Had a great time cooking that up with [director] Shane [Black] and Robert. Best to all," the actor tweeted.

The sequence finds Downey's billionaire tycoon hero Tony Stark sitting on a shrink's couch talking about his life when the camera pulls out to reveal Ruffalo, who's fast dozing off listening to his pal's problems.

When Stark snaps at him to wake up, Banner replies, "You know, I'm not that kind of doctor."

No word whether the scene portends The Hulk and Iron Man teaming up for Iron Man 4 or whether Downey might make a cameo in another Hulk solo outing (at this point, there are no plans for one featuring Ruffalo). But the duo are expected to reunite for The Avengers sequel hitting theaters in 2015.
