Watch: Ed Sheeran on Touring With Taylor Swift

Ed Sheeran considers himself a lucky bloke.

"I'm loving it," the British singer-songwriter told E! News about opening for pal Taylor Swift on her Red Tour. "I've been very fortunate with the tours that I've been invited on."

We caught up with Sheeran, who last hit the road with Snow Patrol, before he was due to play a private Nokia event in New York, where his latest video was shot with a Nokia Lumina device.

With Snow Patrol, he said, he "went out on tour, hung out with them in the day, played the show, duet with them, then hung out with them in the evening—this is the same kind of thing with Taylor."

"I go there, hang out with Taylor, I play a show, do my duet with her, then I hang out a bit more and then I go. So, really, it's a nice tour."

"Six months is a long time to go on tour and leave your family and friends," Sheeran added, "and if you haven't got a friend on the road it can get quite lonely."
