It looks as if Reese Witherspoon's hubby made a good plea bargain.

E! News has exclusively obtained court docs revealing that after Jim Toth pleaded guilty to driving under the influence on Thursday, Atlanta Municipal Court also dismissed several more DUI charges against the agent stemming from the couple's April 19 run-in with the law.

Toth, 42, avoided the slammer after he was placed on 12 months' probation and sentenced to perform 40 hours of community service in addition to attending an alcohol education program, a Mothers Against Drunk Driving class and paying a fine.

But it could've been a lot worse.

Toth was also initially charged with multiple DUI counts and failure to maintain a traffic lane. Fortunately for him, the court saw fit to toss the charges after he copped to the one drunk driving offense, his first.

As for his famous actress wife, Witherspoon pleaded no contest to a charge of obstruction of a person after she disobeyed a police officer's command to stay in her car. She also paid a fine of $313 including court costs.

Both cases are now officially closed.
