David Beckham makes serious bank, but surprisingly, he's nowhere near Tiger Woods territory (in terms of wealth, that is).

This according to the Sunday Times Sport Rich list, which has named the soccer stud the highest earner in British sports.

Thanks to a prosperous athletic career, a slew of successful brand endorsements and even his own business ventures (H&M underwear, anyone?), Victoria Beckham's other half has reportedly amassed a fortune of over $255 million.

Add in his wife's bank account and the couple is sitting pretty, with their combined wealth totaling over $300 million.

Although Becks is easily the richest British sports star of all time, he's nowhere near the richest sportsman in the world—Tiger Woods—who has apparently earned over $800 million, despite being dropped by numerous sponsors back in 2009.

So, who else made the U.K. sports rich list cut?

David Whelan (former professional soccer player who now owns Wigan Athletic), Paul Caddick and former international rugby player Sir Tony O'Reilly nabbed the second, third and fourth slots, respectively.

The list is based on identifiable wealth, including land, property and other assets, as well as significant shares in publicly quoted companies.

Sports stars competing abroad and foreign athletes playing in the U.K. were also eligible, as were women, although not a single female athlete made the this year's list.
