Nothing funny about this.

On Thursday, Kevin Hart was officially charged with a DUI stemming from his April 14 arrest. The 32-year-old comedian was charged with two misdemeanor counts: driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or above, L.A. City Attorney Frank Mateljan tells E! News.

Hart was arrested when officers spotted him driving erratically at a high rate of speed and witnessed him almost colliding with a gas tanker truck. Although Hart initially made light of his bust on Twitter (joking he was "officially a thug" after spending six hours in jail), he acknowledged that "drinking & driving is not a game or a laughing matter."

"People have lost lives because of stupid s--t this!" he tweeted. "This is a wake up call for me, I have to be smarter & last night I wasn't....everything happens for a reason...."

His arraignment is scheduled for May 9 in Van Nuys, Calif.
