Carrie Underwood isn't afraid to use her celebrity status to take a stand.

The country crooner took to Twitter Thursday to express her frustration with Tennessee lawmakers over the passing of the "ag-gag" bill, which prohibits undercover videotaping of factory farms, often used to bring alleged animal abuse to light.

"Shame on TN lawmakers for passing the Ag Gag bill," the singer posted on her micro-blogging page, which has nearly 1.5 million followers. "If Gov. Bill Haslam signs this, he needs to expect me at his front door. Who's with me?"

"@BillHaslam It's not all about big business. Please look out for the little guys! Show TN that you have a heart....#NoAgGag," she wrote shortly after.

But apparently, Carrie's political concerns were not well received by state Rep. Andy Holt, who responded to the blond beauty's threat in an interview with WSMV last week.

"I would say that if Carrie Underwood will stick to singing, I'll stick to lawmaking," he fired back in reply to the singer's heated tweet.

Cue the wrath of Carrie (perhaps Holt should have watched her "Two Cadillacs" music video?).

"I should stick to singing? Wow...sorry, I'm just a tax paying citizen concerned for the safety of my family," she posted in response to Holt's controversial comments.

And if that's not enough, Carrie also replied to concerned fans on her Twitter page.

"I'm not against agriculture. That's silly! I grew up on a cattle farm! I AM against animal abuse. Hope that clears things up. :)," she explained. "My parents had cattle up until a few years ago. We were local farmers! :) But thanks for the suggestion...have a good one! :)" she wrote in response to a fan asking Underwood to speak with local farmers before expressing her opinion.

Hey, at least we can all agree to disagree!

And we're still blown away by Carrie's class.
