Keeping up with the Kardashians is a tough thing to do, considering they're all so darn busy!

Fox announced that Khloé Kardashian Odom would not be returning as a host for The X Factor's third season on Monday. Source told us that the reality-TV star's schedule was just too hard to work out, a fact that mom-ager Kris Jenner confirmed to us at the E! Upfronts in NYC.

E! News caught up with Kris and Keeping Up With the Kardashians executive producer Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet Monday to get the inside scoop on Khloé's X Factor exit. Plus, we hear that fans can expect Kim Kardashian's pregnancy to "spice things up" in the upcoming new season of KUWTK!

"Khloé had such a good time and she wasn't sure if she was going to come back or not, so I think that with everything going on and the other three shows she's working on, it just worked out for the best," Kris tells us of Khloé's departure from the Fox show. "Everything happens for a reason, but she was in love with her experience and had such a good time."

And Kris had nothing but kind words for the X Factor team, saying, "I hope everyone continues to watch and it's such a great show. I'm sure they'll be just fine!"

Ryan, who has some hosting experience of his own (12 seasons of American Idol and counting), tells us he was impressed by how well Khloé handled her first big hosting gig.

"She did a great job. That's tough if you've never done it before," Ryan says. "She's not trained at it, she kind of went out there, and her first gig was a live national show. She's got plenty to do and I think she'll be just fine, and I think she'd say, what a great experience and I'm glad that I had the opportunity to do it."

Of course, Ryan also talked about another popular Fox singing competition: American Idol, which is down to its final four contestants.

"I love having this girl group as our final four," Ryan gushes. "They all really like each other, get along with each other, give each other advice."

So, who does he think is the frontrunner to win it all? "Candice [Glover] is very strong, Amber [Holcomb] is very strong, too, so it's going to be a fight to the finish, no doubt. It'll depend on how they do this week. I think a lot of it will stack up when we see how they perform this week."
