Castle, Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic

ABC/ADAM TAYLOR

ABC will delay airing a bomb-related episode of Castle in the wake of this week's tragic Boston Marathon attack, E! has confirmed.

The episode, which was originally scheduled for Monday, will now air the following week on April 29.

In the installment, titled "Still," the NYPD is faced with trying to disarm a bomb that Beckett (Stana Katic) has stepped on. Her boyfriend Castle, played by Nathan Fillion, attempts to distract her from the danger by starting an argument about who fell for the other first.

Fans of ABC's hit drama who tune in Monday will instead be treated to another new episode, "The Squab and the Quail."
