Rihanna Not the New Face of Chanel

Despite false reports the singer has not been photographed for the brand's ad campaign

She may have her own fragrances and a brand-new fashion line, but don't add Chanel spokesperson to Rihanna's resume quite yet.

Rumors swirled earlier this year that the "Stay" singer was shooting a special campaign with the Paris-based fashion house, after she posted a picture sporting Chanel jewelry on Instagram with the caption "And that's a #wrap on my shoot for my new #topsecret ad campaign!!! #2013" Yet a spokesperson for Chanel told British Vogue she has not been photographed for any such ads.

This denial also comes on the heels of the brand's big announcement last week that Diane Kruger is the new face of Chanel Skin Care.
