Sometimes a girl just needs a little change!

Just ask Nikki Reed, who debuted an adorable new cut this week at the Coach Benefit for the Children's Defense Fund in Santa Monica. 

The Twilight actress looked fresh and exuberant showing off a slightly tousled 'do trimmed to just above her shoulders. 

Quite a change for the brunette beauty!

And while we're starting to lose count of the throngs of stars chopping off their locks this season (Maggie Gyllenhaal, Katharine McPhee, Jamie Lynn Spears and more), Reed told E!'s own Marc Malkin that she just wanted to "look different and feel different" for a new film she's starting.

And most heart-warming of all—she gushes that hubby Paul McDonald couldn't have been more supportive of her edgier new look.
