Kate Middleton's certainly going to be prepared when the royal baby arrives!

On April 24, the pregnant duchess will attend an evening reception at the National Portrait Gallery in London, St. James's Palace announced Wednesday. And there, Prince William's wife will meet with children who've benefited from The Art Room's charity program.

And just what does the Art Room accomplish? It use art therapy to increase children's self-esteem, self-confidence and independence. Kate, a patron of The Art Room, will celebrate the charity's work and meet with those children who've benefited from its therapeutic programs.

While she's in the building, Kate might want to drop by and take a look at her official portrait, which hangs proudly in the National Portrait Gallery.

Although Kate thought the painting was "brilliant," others were quick to criticize Paul Emsley's stoic portrayal of the princess. Maybe the mom-to-be can get some of the Art Room kids to weigh in with their thoughts!
