Kid Rock is one rockin' recessionista. (That's a sentence we never thought we'd write, but there it is.) When the musician sets out for his tour this summer with ZZ Top, Uncle Kracker and Kool & the Gang, fans will be able to nab tickets for just $20.

"I think [from the fan's perspective] it's more the service charges, the fees, getting in there and not knowing what beers will cost, what they'll hit you for parking," Kid explained. "We're all fortunate to make as much money as we do, and I can surely take a pay cut and help out in these hard times."

Here's how we see this announcement shaking out: Some will say that Mr. Rock clearly loves his fans and other artists should take note. Some will say that $20 is about what a ticket to a Kid Rock concert should cost. We say: $4 beer? This man is an American hero!

Alternatively, here is how you can throw yourself a Kid Rock concert at home for $20:

Kid's latest CD, Rebel Soul: $7.99 (via iTunes)

3-Pack of basic white tank tops: $6

Two 40s of Bud Light: $5.50

Having a hard-partying friend throw up on you: Priceless

Total: $19.49 (under budget!)

But if you want to go to the actual show, tickets go on sale April 12th through Live Nation
