Haven't shopped at JCPenney lately?

Well, the retailer has definitely noticed and is working to change that. Hot off the heels of its Joe Fresh launch last month, the department store is once again enticing fashionistas, this time with its new jewelry department addition, the Bijoux Bar.

Sounds très chic for a department store, but what exactly is it? JCPenney has tapped designers like Lana Bramlette, who counts Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez among her celebrity clients, and Kara Ross, whose designs have been seen on the likes of Michelle Obama and Demi Lovato, to create the jewelry pieces ranging from $30 to $395.

The first batch of baubles is just perfect for the summer. A playful KJL by Kenneth Jay Lane octopus ring is just begging to be worn to the beach, while Ross offers a stone embellished cuff that's the perfect companion piece to warm weather maxi dresses. For an edgier feel, Bramlette's chevron hook earrings can take you from music festivals to downtown bars.

The pieces launch both online and at Bjoux Bars at 650 JCPenney stores on April 18.
