Jude Law's hotness has been used to sell a lot of things, but he's drawing the line at actual fire.

The British actor filed a lawsuit this week against a Canadian fireplace purveyor that, according to the complaint, used his face online and in print advertising campaigns without his knowledge. The suit further alleges that Law popped up on Paloform's Facebook and Pinterest pages, as well.

To further make his case as to why his mug could prove a lucrative selling point for Paloform, Law's court filing includes a lengthy list of film credits that have served to make him, per the suit, one of "the most recognized, highly regarded, critically acclaimed, and commercially valuable motion picture actors in the world."

The Side Effects star is asking for general and special damages and an immediate permanent injunction preventing the Toronto-based company from any further use of his name or image for commercial purposes.

So far, so good. A search turned up no photos of Law that appeared to affiliated with Paloform (and its fireplaces, fire pits and tile work) in any way.

Paloform has not yet returned a request for comment.
