Singer agreed to go bald if audience donated funds for charity, says new look is "liberating"

Jessie J looks incredibly hot as a bald lady.

But there's a reason for her new 'do. The British singer shaved her head Friday to raise money for Comic Relief charities on Red Nose Day 2013.

Before her big cut, Jessie met with those who had been helped by the organization, including men and women effected with HIV and girls who'd been the victims of sex trafficking. The 24-year-old tearfully said that shaving her head "is the smallest thing that I could do to give back to these people that need it so much."

Lenny Henry, an English comedian, cut the first lock, joking that he was "putting this on eBay!" Shortly thereafter, Jessie J walked out and debuted her daring new look on live TV. "It feels so liberating," she said, but reiterated that it was all about raising funds for those in need.

"I did it!" she tweeted afterward. "Thank you to everyone who is donating!"
