Because Michelle Obama is loving RPM Italian, their Chicago hot spot with Lettuce Entertain You.
The first lady and a pal enjoyed dinner there last night. Diners erupted in applause when Obama entered through the front door. She waved as they were escorted to a private dining room.
They spent an hour and a half at the eatery and left after thanking chef Doug Psaltis.
And, no surprise, everyone applauded again when she took off.
"It was a tremendous honor to have the first lady dine at RPM Italian in Chicago," Giuliana and Bill told E! News. "We were so thrilled when we heard she was coming to our restaurant and hope she enjoyed her meal."
