Donald Trump has long been a friend of the WWE, going back to the late '80s when he hosted WrestleMania at his Atlantic City hotel and casino.
And now for all his efforts helping boost the pro-wrestling organization's profile, the WWE announced on Monday that it's inducting the Apprentice star into the WWE Hall of Fame Saturday, April 6, in a ceremony taking place at Madison Square Garden.
"Wow, I was just informed that I'm being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame-- a great honor -- 4/6/13 at @MSGnyc," Trump tweeted.
The Donald, by the way, has also been part of the WWE's storylines, perhaps most memorably with the famed "Battle of the Billionaires" match at WrestleMania XXIII, in which Trump shaved WWE honcho Vince McMahon's head in front of 80,000 fans.
Other celebrity inductees in the WWE Hall of Fame include Drew Carey, Mike Tyson, Bob Uecker and Pete Rose.
