Rihanna Congratulates Adele on Oscar Win, Stays Silent on Seth MacFarlane's Chris Brown Jab

Singer takes to Twitter to express her enthusiasm after fellow songstress nabs a statuette, but chooses not to comment on show host's controversial joke about her relationship with Breezy

It looks like you weren't the only one cheering when Adele picked up an Oscar for cowriting "Skyfall" at Sunday's Academy Awards.

Soon after the big win, Rihanna took to Twitter and wrote, "Jah Reign #Adele congrats on your first Oscar."

But while the Barbadian beauty shared her feelings for her fellow songstress, she opted not to remark on Seth MacFarlane's controversial joke about her relationship with Chris Brown.

"This is a story about a man fighting to get back his woman who has been subjected to unthinkable violence," MacFarlane said during his opening monologue while describing the premise of Django Unchained. "Or as Chris Brown and Rihanna call it—a date movie."
