Jennifer Lawrence won the Oscar for Best Actress tonight, for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.

As excited as J.Law fans might have been to hear Jean Dujardin announce the young star as the winner of one of the biggest honors in Hollywood, it clearly didn't amount to her own excitement.

After her initial shock, the first-time winner and second-time nominee was so eager to get up to the stage that she took a spill in her large gown going up the stairs. Oh no!

But she was greeted with a standing ovation.

"You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell and that's really embarrassing, but thank you," she said.

"This is nuts," The Hunger Games star continued, "Thank you to the Academy and thank you to the women this year. You were so magnificent and so inspiring and not just those of you in my category. And its been so amazing getting to know you and you've just been so nice and you've made this experience unforgettable."

Lawrence, who has won numerous awards this season for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, then added plenty of thank-yous to her fellow costars and the crew.

Congratulations, J.Law!
