Kelly Clarkson's got an outspoken supporter in her corner.

Shock jock Howard Stern has come out in defense of the Grammy-winning American Idol champ after music mogul Clive Davis openly trashed her songwriting skills and career choices in his newly released memoir, The Soundtrack of My Life.

And Stern was more than happy to give Davis a piece of his mind.

"I always find it sickening when management guys like to set the record straight about how f--king creative and what geniuses they are," the 59-year-old radio host said on his show Wednesday.

"And, like, this guy's trying to diminish what she does? Doesn't he have enough in life? Can't he sort of tell his story without f--king degrading her and putting her down?"

Stern then gave props to the "Since U Been Gone" songbird while questioning Davis' motives.

"I think she has an amazing voice, and the girl has worked hard to get to where she is," he offered. "I don't understand Clive Davis' motivation for knocking this chick down."

In his memoir, Davis blasts Clarkson as a "‘s---ty" songwriter and recounts a purported meeting with the singer during which she supposedly crumbled into "hysterical sobbing" when he demanded a song be pulled from her new album.

The accusations have left Clarkson seething. "I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans," Clarkson wrote in a fiery missive on her WhoSay page.

Davis, however, refuses to back down.

"I am truly very sorry that she has decided to take issue with what I know to be an accurate depiction of our time together," he later tweeted in response.
